As students prepare to begin a new term of the academic year 2022 on 26th of this Month, Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha officially launched Form one placement Monday Morning. Speaking at the launch Prof Magoha said Form one students are to report to schools beginning the 3rd of May.

All students who scored over 400 marks will join national or extra county schools and according to the CS, equality was observed during the placement. He said that 38,797 out of over 1.2 million candidates will join National schools while 726,311 have been placed in subcounty schools.

Magoha further announced that 9,000 students will benefit from scholarships and called on members of parliament to ensure that needy students are given priority.

He has warned school principals against barring form one students who would report without school fees from registering in their schools.
