OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — King County officials have suspended the license of a nursing assistant after he was charged with raping a blind, deaf and mentally disabled person in his care.

Washington state Department of Health officials say Samuel K. Njuguna was charged with second-degree rape in King County Court in September.

Charging documents say Njuguna had sex with a resident in June under circumstances in which the resident was unable to consent by reason of being mentally incapacitated.

Njuguna cannot practice in Washington until the charges are resolved. He has 20 days to respond to the charges and ask for a hearing.
